I have been with Amazon for quite a few years. I have a business account and a personal account. I buy and sell. What's so amazing is I can sell my household items on Amazon. I do not like the fact that you need authorization to sell clothing, jewelry, etc. You may or may not get approved. However, I do not let that stand in my way. I still love Amazon. Cheers!
Here are some things I like about WooCommerce
I love how flexible their coupon system is. It comes built-in with many different options, and if you need more options there are many plugins out there.
I like how extendable the WooCommerce platform is. There are over 5,000 free plugins, many premium plugins, and it's all open source allowing you to create your own WooCommerce plugins, or hire someone to do it for you.
All of our e-commerce customers use WooCommerce, and we're able to setup additional features for them like a Google Analytics integration, automated checkout testing, and an iOS app, and that makes WooCommerce more desirable too.
Lastly, WooCommerce is a part of WordPress, which makes it easy to create banners and pop-ups, and being able to tap into WordPress plugins to perform activities such as SEO optimization, redirects, etc., is pretty neat. There is literally a plugin out there for anything you might want done, which is something that other platforms like Big Commerce are not as good at.
I create metal weld art and sell on Etsy, I have just hit 72 sales as of today 5/3/20 And opened up my Etsy shop in 2017. From day one until know I’ve learned a lot of what to sell on Etsy, how to list it correctly and what not to sell on Etsy. Some of my items I just save to sell at local events or through a different online outlet because I know it won’t sell on Etsy. I think if you have a good creative product, forsure use Etsy as your online store, but I would also utilize other places like eBay and Facebook marketplace too. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. http://wwwJonnysweld.Etsy.com if you want to check out my shop. Feel free to find me on there and ask any questions, I’m no professional but id be happy to help.
I LOVED my Squarespace experience. It was very easy to learn how to create a beautiful, functional, professional-looking website that offered a lot of customization options. The shallow learning curve is fantastic for someone who is not a tech expert but needs to get a website up quickly. And their customer service is absolutely stellar. For my needs, it stands head and shoulders above all other options I've looked at, including Wordpress and Wix.
