    I never understood why Shopify got so popular. Backend tools are nice (shipping, inventory, etc), but the platform itself is limited and horrible in terms of design -one of the most annoying website tools I’ve dealt with in 20 years designing.

    No other e-commerce platform compares. The only reason I do not give it a 10 is it may not meet the needs of every business and lacks on the design capabilities. The site operator / developer may still need to modify code in 2024.
