YouTube is not content creator-friendly. They have an almost criminal accounting system which seriously deducts views prior to the 21st of each month. They're always toying with the algorithm so you never know what it will promote or how to make videos more promotable. Their community standards are always changing and usually retroactive (meaning that a channel can be demonetized for "community standards" strikes involving videos posted prior to a community standard policy being changed). They have an app allowing content creators to turn long format videos into Shorts. However, for going on two years, this feature has not worked on my app. It took nearly a year for YT to admit my app had an issue and they still refuse to fix the problem. The problem with YT today is there isn't a single competitor in the market strong enough to give them worry.

Great vids on pretty much any topic you choose. Need instructions on how to make or fix something … YouTube, check out the latest on your favorite comedian … YouTube, interested in latest trends … YouTube.  I’m not tech savvy, so likely won’t be recording any vids myself, but YouTube is an awesome go to!
