Born in Syracuse, New York, my parents moved back to Uganda after completing their education when I was only three months old. After completing high school, I returned to New York, concluded my studies and began working in Corporate America. I returned to Uganda after the 2008 financial crisis and started both a small poultry business and merchandise business at the same time. It was exciting and challenging, although I loved the experience of working for myself and solving customers' concerns while benefiting from their feedback. It was as this point that I discovered the importance of entrepreneurship with opportunities in Consulting, Government contracting, international business development and providing retirement solutions for business owners, which I have a passion for. Having been exposed to diplomacy, networking, strategic collaborative efforts with results and interacting with immigrants during my college time and employment, I decided to start Makeda Minority Contracting LLC.
We continue to focus on these key areas to help others succeed. We enjoy simplifying concepts and watch the impact we make to our clients.
I decided that I loved having a flexible lifestyle. Having worked remotely with several clients and consultants in the past, I realized that this was the right timing for me to focus on my passion while helping clients.
