Personally, I use delivery in Elkton, frequently.  I do not care who delivers the food for as long as they are swift, courteous, ethical, the price is right, and the food is always fresh ...and hot if cooked. (more) I like the idea of gifts, personally.  They 'take one to places' they might not have explored otherwise.   With all due respect, however, if you sincerely want them to remember you fondly, "koozie cups" and "kazoos" are, definitely, NOT the answer ...unless your client is a young child.   Having your company's so-called "act" together, and respecting your mission, goals, and approach, will automatically resonate ...without gimmicks.  Nevertheless, in order to augment that resonance, a carefully-considered branding strategy can, in fact, boost your image ...IF it is not hokey.  So, if you do intend to gift your clients and employees, remember to be careful to offer gifts which are useful, enduring, and attractive.     As only one simple example, I once worked for a petroleum company which distributed to it's employees a comfortably-sized, dark navy coffee cup with their relatively-'attractive' (such is subjective, of course) 'golden' logo.  For years after I left the company, I inadvertently smiled every time I used that coffee cup, just by looking at the logo, remembering the company, and appreciating the usefulness and attractiveness of the cup.   A t-shirt, on the other hand, I, personally, would have discarded immediately, a pen would have run it's course within one month, a calendar within 12 months, and the like.   Another successful example is Estee Lauder's Gift-With-Purchase (GWP) program ...adopted by a fair number of major cosmetics companies, since.   Annually, Lauder offers a small collection of gift-sized products as a free gift in exchange for the customer's product purchase of any item(s) of his or her choosing above a specified amount, such as $35.   In addition to your gifts, given that consistency strengthens your image (especially if your image is positive), a smart advertising campaign which incorporates that same attractive logo, trademark, and slogan will remind them, in a non-obtrusive fashion, that you are still strong and available to them for life.     The rest is all about excellent customer service!  Good luck!

Pre-emptive thinking works best.  I have found that offering  "2% Net If Paid Within 30 Days" and "1.5% Interest For Each 30 Day Period After 60 Days", stated on the invoice, to be simple and automatic motivation to secure early and on-time payments.  The "2% Net" is a discount which they are... (more) Pre-emptive thinking works best.  I have found that offering  "2% Net If Paid Within 30 Days" and "1.5% Interest For Each 30 Day Period After 60 Days", stated on the invoice, to be simple and automatic motivation to secure early and on-time payments.  The "2% Net" is a discount which they are permitted, thereby, to take from the total amount due for paying prior to the 31st day (or you could state "28 Days" or "10 Days", et caetera, if you need).  The Interest fee kicks in only if they are a minimum of 60 days tardy, yet, is a polite method of saying, 'I am sorry, however, your late payment is costing me money for which I will, now, need you to compensate'.   Whatever else you do, never permit your emotions to hold sway if the customer remains in default, at that point.  Simply, politely send another reminder with the additional 1.5% Interest fee added to the Total Due.  Say "Please" and "Thank you".  If one continues defaulting, continue being most polite and empathetic while helping them to pay the mutually agreed upon debt as soon as possible.  If you, eventually,  need a professional collection agency, find one which is polite at all times ..your reputation is still important.  Any business which is the most polite, is, generally, the first paid.

I would begin by stating my case honestly.  Nothing negates a lie faster than the truth.  In addition, I would do my utmost to make certain that I never lower my standards to those of the person(s) sharing such untruths.  Rise above ignorance!  Always rise above!   (more) I would begin by stating my case honestly.  Nothing negates a lie faster than the truth.  In addition, I would do my utmost to make certain that I never lower my standards to those of the person(s) sharing such untruths.  Rise above ignorance!  Always rise above!

(more) I am not certain that I ever have done such a thing.  Generally, under such a circumstance, I would offer my client a quality product which he or she professed to need which was already being offered at a lower price.  One can always save one's money and return, later, to purchase the higher-priced 'status' version.  The issue rarely arose, however, because the majority of my clients were holding.   One mistake I made, which I shall never make again, was admitting to a client, when she asked, that I did not use the product, myself, because I could not "afford" it.  She thanked me and left without purchasing the item which I had attempting to convince her was perfect for her.
