Employees are always looking out for a great benefit package, especially those with young children. They are looking for a good salary that matches their level of education. Good interpersonal relationship with those in charge. A good benefit package would help to:
If the employees have a benefit package that would help them with some of everyday issues, taking away the stress and strain off their shoulders ,so they have less to worry about and keep their focus back to work where it belongs. Peace of mind for both employers and employees.
-Valuing their opinions/ideas. Asking them what they think of something, even if it's about how to arrange the stock in the cabinets. If they feel like they have a say in things, they'll feel like they matter.
-Having a once a week or morning pow wow to ask them how things are going and helping them feel safe to say what they really feel.
-Money is always a good motivator, but loyalty is much stronger.
How do you make your clients feel special? What keeps you from doing something similar for your employees? :-)
The best way to motivate individual employees is to create an environment that encourages autonomy, mastery, and purpose.
Autonomy helps employees feel empowered to make their own decisions, while mastery encourages employees to develop their skills and expertise in order to achieve greater success.
Providing employees with a sense of purpose can also be a powerful motivator, as it gives them a meaningful reason to work hard and strive for success.
Additionally, creating an atmosphere where employees feel valued and appreciated is essential.
This can be done through recognition, rewards, and providing opportunities for growth and advancement.
It is also important to provide employees with feedback and regular communication about their performance and progress.
It has been my experience with a heavy chunk of my clients their employees will not perform if they have one of the following going on in their life:
1) No sense of security in their Job.
2) Financial Worries about the days between paychecks.
3) No Clear Direction about what they are doing.
I tell my clients to talk to their employees, understand what is going on in their lives and minds and then work out a plan with that employee for how you could help them.
Motivation is not something you can give. It’s internal to each person. It’s the environment you can create and the relationship with a person that can ignite someone. Everyone has their own motivation and needs. Recognition, reward, competition, feeling appreciated and more. To get more from a person you need to know them and what they value. Then create the environment for them to excel.
Inclusion. When they are part of the solution the mind automatically takes ownership. When one takes ownership the drive is there to do it the best they can.

Ask them how they want to be honored, takes out the guess work and you know the employee will appreciate whatever is done.

It begins with relationship. Everything builds on that solid foundation of trust.
