Millions of people struggled with what has been described as a "massive" computer outage caused by the CrowdStrike bug. If you're still one of the people trying to bounce back, here's an easy list of actions to follow.
Assuming that restarting your computer doesn't work, take these steps.
- Restart again, but press F8 before Windows starts. Choose "Safe Mode."
- Open "File Explorer" (like a folder icon). Go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike
- Find the file starting with "C-00000291" and ending with ".sys (can be more than one)." Delete it.
- Restart your computer normally. It should be fixed!
Hopefully you're back in action after following this advice. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
