Attention CPAs! Which online service do you recommend for filing form 1099 NEC for 2020?
I am using Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2020, which currently has not yet been updated to support the form 1099 NEC.

We utilize www.tax1099.com for filing all our 1099s.
Adams forms offers online filing which is slightly cheaper than tax1099.com. I found it more user friendly. I usually buy a pack of forms at Sam's for 20.00 which gives me access to the program. Once you input your information it's there the next year making things a snap. If you want to print and mail you have that option too.
i log into the agency site directly and file them. its the same as entering them into another software andits free.
We've been using Track1099 for several years and are very happy with them

Maybe it's not the answer you are looking for, but QuickBooks updated the 1099 preparation process sometime in 2024. The cost of e-filing (and corrections) 1099s through QuickBooks Online is included in the subscription fee if you use QuickBooks Payroll, Contractor Payments, Bill Pay Premium, or Elite.
